Join a hands on workshop to help build Museo Aero Solar, a collective inflatable sculpture made entirely from discarded plastic bags.
This summer, play a part in building something bigger than yourself.
Museo Aero Solar is a citywide collective artwork made entirely from discarded plastic bags, constructed through public workshops taking place across Amsterdam between June and September. As part of Synergy City, three participatory workshop sessions invite you to join the making process: cutting, sorting, taping, layering, drawing, and assembling materials into a large scale inflatable structure that grows with every contribution.
Younger children are warmly invited to take part through drawing and mark making on the plastic bags. Older participants and adults join in the construction. No experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to make something together.
The project was originally initiated in 2007 by Tomás Saraceno and Alberto Pesavento and has been realised in over one hundred locations worldwide. The Amsterdam edition is presented by Synergy Foundation and curated by Natasha Greenhalgh.
