Thinking in Public: Public by Design — Artist Talk with Cyril Lancelin
What happens when art leaves the gallery and enters the street — and what does that mean for the city itself?
Taking place within the immersive artwork Pyramid Curbs at Erasmuspark, this conversation brings together artist Cyril Lancelin and moderator Natasha Greenhalgh to explore public space as a site of experimentation, encounter, and unexpected discovery.
Part of Thinking in Public, Synergy City's series of conversations held across public spaces and amongst the artworks, the discussion asks how art reshapes our relationship to the spaces we move through, what it means for culture to exist beyond the institution, and how sculpture, nature, and the open city create new conditions for experience.
Thinking in Public extends Synergy City's vision of Amsterdam as a living exhibition, using each artwork as a starting point to explore bigger ideas around public life, spatial experience, and the futures we imagine together.
